Charters 24/04/2008 14:53:00 Business Wire US45866A1051 The Elite Shares Club, (www.elitesharesclub.com) an exclusive luxury amenity club offering jet charters, luxury residences, and exotic automobiles under a single membership, today announced a "Go Green" initiative by selling empty charter jet seats to its membership through its corporate jet partners.
The new program, available only to members of the luxury amenity club, allows members to choose an "empty seat" option rather than a full charter if traveling alone or with one guest.
The unique option could essentially cut the costs of private jet charter for those participating individual members in half, while at the same time, save on high fuel costs and emissions for our providers.
"Let s face it, people who have reached a certain amount of success in life and fly privately, drive expensive automobiles and live in extraordinary houses are not going to give up all their toys to save the environment overnight.

Kenya: Kisumu Airport in Need of Expansion

Kisumu Airport is in need of urgent expansion because the facility can no longer handle the large number of growing passengers using it. The good fortunes have been occasioned by the opening up of the western Kenya tourism circuit meaning that visitors now land directly at the facility before proceeding by road.

According to the airport manager, Mr Joseph Okumu, apart from an increase in scheduled flights landing at the airport, charter flights that take tourists to various tourism attraction sites in the region operate from there.

High-flying designs

MIDDLETON -- Here, on the west side of the Good Neighbor City 's airport, is a microcosm of what could have been for some lucky community in Wisconsin.

The gleaming hangar draws the rich, and sometimes the famous, who are looking for a way to make their airplanes stand out.

Some are venture capitalists. Others are corporate executives and successful entrepreneurs. There 's even been the occasional Hollywood director.

Air NZ's complaint against Investigate mag upheld

Air New Zealand complaints about an Investigate magazine article that said it was secretly flying foreign troops to war have been upheld by the Press Council.

The council ruled the September 2006 article lacked fairness, the cover headline and some details were inaccurate, and the cover montage of an armed soldier, a queue of people and the koru on the tail of an Air New Zealand jet was misleading and inaccurate.

But the matter has not ended there, as Investigate editor Ian Wishart had found new information for review, a council spokeswoman told NZPA.

The council would consider that information at a meeting on Monday, after which the decision would either stand, or Air New Zealand involvement sought.

Under council rules a decision can be re-examined if a party can show the decision was based on a material error of fact, or if new material had become available that had not be placed before the council.

Uganda: Country 'Cannot' Import Jet Fuel Through Tanzania

An alternative route through Tanzania is not good enough to be used by oil companies importing jet fuel to Uganda.

This was the verdict of major oil companies reacting to Ugandan air operators' appeal to the government to compel oil companies to import part of their inventory through Tanzania or increase storage capacity.
